Conor Patton

"I have two girls in Loreto Abbey Dalkey, Orla Patton 6th Year and Sarah Patton 3rd Year. I have been on the Loreto Abbey Dalkey Parents Association for the last two years (currently 6th Year representative) and also on the Board of Management subcommittee for the development of the new Sports Hall. I have also served on the Executive Parents Council and Treasurer at my son’s school.

For a number of years I have been Manager of the Dalkey Community Games, working with a team of volunteer parents who train over 200 children to compete for Dalkey area in the Dublin Community Games.

I am married to Joan, a teacher in Loreto Primary school, and live in Killiney with our three children, Andrew, Orla and Sarah.

As an experienced marketing professional with a financial services background I am well equipped to support the School Management and Board of Management in meeting the challenges facing Loreto Abbey Dalkey in today’s environment.

I ask you the parents to vote for me to be your representative on the Board of Management. I will work with the school management and the other Board members to ensure that Loreto Abbey Dalkey remains one of the top schools in Dublin where all children who attend have the opportunity to maximise their potential in whatever they choose to do. I believe that parents should be active participants in the educational experience for their children and with your support I will be a parental voice working on the Board of Management to achieve this. Thank you"

Jim Wade

"As a father and husband to three Loreto girls, daughters Rebekah and Molly and wife Georgina (neé Mc Donnell), I have gained enough knowledge of the school to understand the great work that it has accomplished and the great work yet to be done.

Not only do I understand the social aspect of school life in Loreto, but my third level education in business and accounting means that I also understand the paperwork behind the scenes.

I am co-owner and sales director of ‘Uniformity’ which operates from its local premises in Dun Laoghaire.

I was Treasurer of the Loreto Primary School Fundraising Committee for three years.

My extensive experience dealing with school principals, boards of management and parents associations means that I have an understanding of the school system and how to achieve the best results for all."
